Lead Partner
Shehu Popoola-Taiwo is the Founding Partner of Popoola-Taiwo LP and a distinguished maritime lawyer, dispute resolution specialist, and Notary Public of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with over a decade of legal practice experience.
He currently serves as Chairman of YoungShip Nigeria and Executive Coordinator of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Working Group, contributing to maritime policy and industry development.
Shehu holds an MSc in Maritime Administration and Management from the University of Lagos. His practice spans maritime law, alternative dispute resolution, commercial litigation, and corporate advisory, with a strong commitment to advancing legal excellence and the growth of Africa’s maritime sector.
